Welcome to Nursery! On this page you can find some useful information about our learning each half-term. In Nursery, we cover the three prime areas of EYFS: Communication and Language, Physical Development and Personal, Social and Emotional Development. We also support and teach children the specific areas of Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding of the World and Expressive Arts and Design. 

We may also share pictures and news from other areas of learning and development across our EYFS curriculum. 

Our Current Topic for Summer 1 is, 'People Who Helps Us - Who helps us?'

This half-term, in Literacy we will be focusing on the book, 'When We Grow Up' and 'When I Grow Up'. 

We will also look at a variety of other books during our Topic time all about different jobs and why these people are important. 

In Maths, the children will be learning all about sequencing, positional language and more than and fewer. We will also be looking at shapes such as '2D' and '3D' shapes. 

The children will be exploring a range of different activities during continuous provision and outdoor learning to develop their fine motor skills, gross motor skills and their imagination and creativity.
