In light of the current situation in regards to COVID-19, we are preparing a list of websites and apps that will provide access to vital learning resources in the event that the school does have to close. 

  • Phonics Screening Test Paper 2018 Here is a link to the 2018 Phonics Test Paper. Please help your child to read the real and 'alien' words. Encourage the children to sound out the words even if it sounds silly!

  • Phonics Play Parents Area of Phonics Play. Explore the free games that the children are familiar with to encourage and support their phonics and reading.

  • Twinkl KS1 Share a Story School Closure Resource Pack How can I use this pack to teach my child at home? This pack includes some helpful ideas for supporting your child with learning if they are at home or if their school is closed. This pack includes a fun story about a caterpillar and her minibeast friends. We've selected a bunch of activities to go with the book to help keep children busy and make sure they are learning. There are ideas for maths, English and science, as well as some exciting arts and crafts suggestions.

In the event that your school is closed, these interactive learning links are ideal for supporting home learning. Each PDF contains links for activities that cover a range of National Curriculum topics for year 1, including writing, reading, science and maths. All of the resources contained within this PDF have been selected to be used by parents and carers as a starting point for purposeful home learning tasks. Most of the links have been chosen so that a child's learning can be accessed through viewing the resource on a computer screen (and discussing with a parent or carer) or through completing the task on paper.
