Welcome to Nursery! On this page you can find some useful information about our class work in all areas of our learning. We may also share pictures and news from other areas of learning and development across our EYFS curriculum. You will see below 'Star Folders' which will provide more detailed information on individual areas of learning, with links to support you and your child with their learning at home.

Our Current Topic for Summer 1 is, 'People Who Help Us' and our key question is, 'Who Can Help Us'?

This half-term, in Literacy we will be focusing on the books, 'What Will I Be?' and 'When I Grow Up'. We will also be talking about the familiar books we have read and recapping them in our play. 

In Maths, we will be looking at 'Sequencing' and ordering nursery rhymes and familiar stories. 

We will be using Positional Language such as in, on and under and using more/fewer to describe changes to groups of objects. 

We will also be looking at 2d and 3d shapes around us and describing them using simple language. 

 As part of Understanding the World, we will be talking about different people who help us and their job roles and talking about what we would like to be when we grow up. 

 As part of Expressive Arts and Design, we will be exploring different materials freely and making different creations. 

We will also be continuing to work on the School Readiness Objectives.
