Parents of children with SEN or Disability needs are invited to a day of support in the Blues at Ewood Park this Thursday 15th March.
The day runs from 10 am to 2 pm and will discuss what support there is for children and parents in the Local Authority. There will be people there that you can speak to or ask questions of, regarding your own child.
A flier is available in the entrance near the School Office with contact details or ask to speak to Mrs Coxhead (SENCO).
It's National Storytelling Week!
We have lots of lovely things going on in school.
Classes have each chosen an Oliver Jeffers book to look at and base activities and work around.
You are welcome to join your child's class from 2:30pm every day
to listen to story time.
After story time why not visit our half price book fair where you'll find some fantastic books for your children at bargain prices!
Why not have your own storytelling week at home? Choose a book to read together. Why not ask your children to show you how to do our 'Talk for writing' actions?
WE ARE PUTTING DOWN OUR PENS AND PICKING UP OUR LANGUAGE!
Speaking and listening skills are extremely important for children’s development, so we are having a No Pens Day Wednesday speaking and listening event!
All classes and lessons will be focused on learning through speaking and listening activities – with no pens allowed! This is a really exciting day that will encourage good classroom talk and will build on these essential skills in a fun and engaging way. To find out more about the day and more about what activities might be going on, please ask a member of staff.
We are proud to announce Alisha Cowell has won ‘Primary Pupil of the Year’ in the 2015 Lancashire Telegraph schools awards. Alisha puts 100% effort into everything she does, in every area of her school work and is always a caring and sharing member of our school community. This is a wonderful achievement and really well deserved, especially when every other nomination was for Year 6 children! Well done Alisha!
Alisha and staff attended an awards ceremony at Stanley House Hotel last night where she picked up the award.
